Evergreen's policy team had produced a detailed outline, including specific and actionable recommendations for lawmakers and regulators. The original ideas was to turn this outline into a piece of longform writing, but I suggested a more visual approach instead. This cut down on workload for others in the organization, and delivered a more compelling and digestible product for our grasstops audience.
After building out the detailed, wonky report, I then created a summary of the key themes for broader consumption on Instagram. Here, I leaned into the sports/"game plan" metaphor.
